My Life
by Betsy N!
Birth
On September 4th, 1993, at 11:00 in the morning, someone named Betsy was born! There weren’t any problems except that I was born through a C section. That’s usual for a twin. Also, I was unusually big. I got more of the food than Lindy, my twin. My dad waited outside the room with Julia (she’s my sister).
My first year was quite interesting to me. My first word was “Mama.” I was a very early walker. 8-9 months! I was also a very early triker. My first trike had tassels. Red and white, to be precise. To the 2nd year!
I had plenty of exciting adventures when I was 2. I moved to Colorado and met my best pal, Katherine! When we went camping, no one got enough sleep except Julia! We also went to the Grand Canyon. Time to go to the 3rd year!
I went lots of places when I was 3. We went to Concord and played with our old friends. Then we went to Nebraska and I went swimming in a river! We also went to the ranch. It was lots of fun! At last we went to New York, and we had a gigantic shopping spree! For the 4th year!
My 4th year must have been my best year! We went to Bluff, Utah, for the 1st time. Then we were flower girls for our cousin Wendy’s wedding. [Ed note: actually, it was Joy’s wedding; Wendy’s wedding was a couple years later.] It was very exciting! Also we took the Silverton train. We also had chicken pox. My highlight of the year was going to Memphis, Tennessee. On to the 5th year!
My 5th year was fantastic! Kindergarten started. I had Mrs. Lunstad. She was lots of fun! Then there was the science fair. We did our project on pinecones. It was lots of fun! Then we played on a soccer team. You wouldn’t believe what their name was: the Flying Tiger Biscuits! Then we went to Maine and went sailing. On to the next year!
My 6th year was wonderful! I had a huge Thanksgiving, and did an impossible jigsaw puzzle! We also got our two cats. They are just adorable! Then we rented a bad car. Also we went to the San Juans. On to the 7th year!
My 7th year was lovely! We got giant stuffed animals that we still have now. Mine was a leopard and Lindy’s is a white tiger. We also went to New York to see the Nutcracker Ballet. They made the mice look cute!
My 8th year was delightful! My grandma and grandpa came for 2 weeks! We also had Piano Achievement Day. Then there was our choir director’s wedding. I cannot forget Hawaii! We forgot our flight. On to the 9th year!
My 9th year has been really fun so far. School has started, and my teacher is the best in the world! Our birthday was a lot of fun! Our camping trip was lots of fun, too! My sisters and I made a new kind of perfume!
That’s my life. I can’t wait until next year!
even now I still have problems with too many exclaimation points…
the flying tiger biscuits were a boss soccer team though yeah
here’s a reminder to clean out your belly button
my nurse auntie says people never do it and it can get really ganky, I can personally attest to that
ugh I’ve been up for half an hour and it’s already too much I’m just going back to bed
